What Is MCHS?MCHS stands for Merced County Humane Society. It is a group of volunteers that have formed a non-profit organization to help animals in need. The Merced County Humane Society (MCHS) was formed in 2014 by two women that wanted to make a difference in the Merced County. Since MCHS does not have a shelter they looked for other ways to help out and found a group of amazing volunteers (always looking for more) that have opened their homes, gave their time, and helped out in adoption events to find special homes for animals that had been abandoned, abused, lost, hurt, etc. MCHS mission is to save animals by fostering, caring for and finding safe loving permanent homes for each of the animals.
Since 2014 there have been many animals that have come in that needed help and needed rescuing. MCHS volunteers have jumped straight into action and have helped all. For most they have found furever loving homes. MCHS looks for sutible homes for each animal by looking into the animal, size, breed, special care and the home enviornment of the adopter.
